Now is the time to submit your Beautiful Bakersfield nomination to recognize all the businesses, organizations, groups and people whose efforts, projects and other endeavors made a difference in our community.

Recognizing achievements during the 2008 calendar year, nominations are in fifteen categories:  Arts (individual and group); Architecture, Commercial Remodel, Business/Commerce, Environmental; All-America City/Civic Non-Profit, Humanitarian (individual and group), Education, Health, Public/Private Partnerships, Seniors and Youth (individual and group).

The 2009 awards ceremony will be broadcast live on KGET Channel 17 from the DoubleTree Hotel on Saturday, May 30.

All nominations submitted by the deadline of Friday, January 16, 2009, will be considered by the committee, which reserves the right to determine final category placement and limit the number of nominations per category.  Self-nominations are accepted.
