Debra L. Moreno - 2010 Woman of the Year
On July 29th, Senator Roy Ashburn (R-Bakersfield) recognized Debra L. Moreno as the recipient of the 18th Senate Districts Woman of the Year award for 2010.

Debbie L. Moreno was selected to receive the 18th Senate District's 2010 Woman of the Year Award for her more than two decades of service to the community and the state. Mrs. Moreno is currently the President/CEO of the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce. She also serves the district in several other ways by Chairing the Western Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (W.A.C.E.) Board of Directors and as a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, a group made up of the top 100 Chamber execs active in public policy throughout the nation.

Debbie also finds time to volunteer in various non-profit organizations such as the United Way of Kern County, Cal State University Bakersfield Executive Advisory Council to the School of Business, the Foundation Board of San Joaquin Community Hospital, and the Foundation Board of Bakersfield College.
