Ambassadors/Mixer: Public relations for the Chamber, welcoming new businesses to the community and celebrating major milestones at ground breaking, ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremonies. Organizes and facilitates events where Chamber members network in a social atmosphere that also provides a forum for member businesses to showcase their locations, products and services. Beautiful Bakersfield: Coordinates an event that promotes the city and people of Bakersfield. A banquet and live television awards presentation focus on the positive attributes of Bakersfield's businesses, organizations and citizens. Meets monthly for approximately nine months. Business Development: Develops and implements seminars that help businesses enhance operations through educational, informative sesions. Energy: Works toward enhancing public awareness of the importance of the energy industry to the community's economy and quality of life. Provides a forum for identifying and discussing common issues affecting the industry and consumers and provides counsel to the Chamber board on these issues.
