2013 Business Walk
Business Walk 2013 is a face-to-face business survey that will encompass more than 450 businesses from throughout all areas of the city, representing a wide cross-section of industries.
The Business Walk is a quick survey that asks business owners or managers three to four questions about business conditions and what assistance they need to be more successful. The survey takes only three-to-four minutes per business and will be conducted by teams of more than 75 volunteers made up of Chamber members, Chamber board members, local government officials and representatives from Kern Economic Development Corporation, the Bakersfield Downtown Business Association, SCORE and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - CSUB.
Following the Walk, the Chamber will compile the results of the survey and share them with the community and appropriate agencies and organizations for action. The Chamber will also use the information to help drive program development over the coming year.
