Ambassadors/Mixer Committee

11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Fourth Tuesday of the month

The Ambassador/Mixer Committee welcomes new businesses to Bakesfield, and celebrates major milestones at groundbreaking, ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremonies. Ambassadors also plan social gatherings where member businesses showcase their locations, products and services

Bakersfield young Professionals

11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Fourth Tuesday of the month

Bakersfield Young Professionals (BYP) is driven by young local professionals, with a mission to enhance professional development, aid in the growth of the community through community service and provide networking opportunities. BYP is divided into four crews — Serving Kern, Urbanist, Next and Socialize — each with their own goals and objectives geared at helping local young professionals.

Beautiful Bakersfield Committee

11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the First Wednesday of the month (October through June)

The Beautiful Bakersfield Committee recognizes the efforts of individuals, groups, companies and organizations that improve the quality of life in Bakersfield. The Committee gets a first-hand look at good news in Bakersfield – selecting, awarding and planning the annual gala dinner event, held in May.

Business Education and Enhancement Committee

The Business Education and Enhancement Committee helps businesses grow and thrive by identifying education and training needs and planning events to share expertise and provide actionable tools for local businesses.

CHAMBER SOcial COMMITTEE

11:45 A.M. TO 1 P.M., Second and fourth tuesdays OF THE MONTH (OCTOBER THROUGH JUNE)

The Chamber Social Committee puts the fun in fundraising for our popular annual event at the Kern County Museum. With a wide variety of industries represented the Chamber Social Committee finds ways to engage the community and support the Chamber’s year-round programs in a night of pure fun.

Energy Committee

8-9 a.m. on the Third Wednesday of the month

The Energy Committee tackles concerns that affect the pulse of the Bakersfield economy by staying on top of energy issues affecting industry and the public. The Energy Committee acts as a liaison between energy companies and the community.

Governmental Review Council

7:30 to 8:30 a.m. every Friday

The Governmental Review Council (GRC) represents the interests of business at the local, state and federal levels. GRC identifies, analyzes and monitors issues impacting business and recommends policy position to the Chamber board of directors.
